After five months in the states we returned to South America April 2015. Three years, to the month, of our first visit to Chimbaloma. Quality time with family, friends & a full head of steam we tackled another flight into Bogota. Braving borders, buses, planes safely arriving at the farm house on the side of Mt. Imbabura(15,100ft).
It was never a thought to have a child in the U.S. A pathological sickness of materialism dwells there! Our focus, on this miracle, rested 100% with our Indigenous neighbours in S. America. The disrespect towards Mother Earth(stupid addictions on malevolent corporate 'video' screens) amongst other social nightmares totally suck. It is feeding ridiculous consumer addictions in a xenophobic society bent on America's sabotage. As dear lovers of our homeland, it's a big bummer to see.
We're over it, we decided, & split the scene for functioning communities.
We rented a beautiful Spanish style villa close to the clinic for June. $500 for the month & the use of a car. No credit check. No deposit. Ana, our new Ecuadorian friend, is currently in Rome.
Loni's Mom joins us June 1. We're 20 minutes from the airport to pick her up so we're stoked. Facil. Her first visit to South America. We'll travel July 1 back to Chimbaloma. Boy in tow, mountains to climb(ski), waves to surf, puro to drink, films to make. Pumped also 'because' Inti Raymi, the ultimate fiesta, will be in full blown terror on the Imbaburian mountainside. 'God be praised'. The stellar views, farms, animals, volcanoes, lakes & Indigenous neighbors will blow our minds yet again. Our community thrives on family, growing food, clean air & pure H2O. Key to human biology & we like that. I guess you'd say, 'that's how we roll'.
Three years later, perfecto numero tres, we rock the next chapter in Ecuador.
