Its' 6:30pm 0n Monday. Hard days work behind me. Loni painting, working continually in our garden. We have a new bathroom project resuming Monday. I preped all day for the final push this next week. Thusfar, a sewer line to the municipal service built last year. Our septic is full. We are off the septic. Now, the good news. A second bathroom on the other side of the house, under the stairs equipped with shower, sink, toilet is two days from completion.
We have a full supply of artesano blankets and rugs from Rafael to sell to visitors. I've converted one of the rooms into a dormitory. Painting downstairs, new door, bed for another room for travellers. Five rooms ready to rent month, day, week.
Here's the knee slapper. We have 2. bucks and some change currently. Literally. No credit card. No bank with cash resting for use. No cash. None. We had this happen last year in August. Scroll through, read the blog entry. We spent all our cash when we visited the Shaur. There was a lot to do, a lot to buy and help needed. That is why we are here and that is the project! Documentary, yes. But, giving to the Indigenous we've decided to assist is the reason for our cash, the use of our cash.
We have some food. Gas for cooking.
Land Rover I've gotten running. Ya!
But broke as hell!
We have to wait. Who knows how long? Great Spirit? Fortune teller? Not me. It's part of the world we've chose to live in, chose to step out of the western paradigm and leave the stress behind. I had a hard work day. Loni too. I didn't think about this once and continued normally.
I am learning discipline which keeps my brain awake, clear, light. This is why I left, why I work with Indigenous for no pay, away from a made up formula evaluating, controlling, consuming pathology of American society.
